We loved this Fun rainy day Wedding at Cain Manor! Weather hey! What can you do? Alastair and Rachel still got married, and people still came and had a great time.

When Alastair and Rachael first got in touch with us about their Wedding at Cain Manor, we were so happy – we soon realised they were planning a really fun and relaxed wedding with their nearest and dearest. Alastair and Rachael are the nicest, funniest and down to earth people and we couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

The excitement before the wedding

We arrived at Cain Manor, where the couple and their families were getting ready (In separate wings) it was really chilled and everyone was in a good mood.  I was in the main house with the girls, whilst Debs was in the East wing with Alastair and the guys. Natasha & her crew were on hand to glam up the girls (obviously they only needed just a little bit) and to help keep the nerves down with her relaxed and fun vibe. The guys were just being themselves, which was silly form start to finish. The morning was so chilled in both wings. Rachael was taking it all in her stride and the nerves only hit as she was putting on the dress and Alastair was doing some heavy (evian) drinking to calm his!

Getting Hitched

The wedding took place in The Music room and it was beautiful. Simple white chairs, no busy chair covers and the gorgeous fairy light canopy. They had some beautiful readings, which everyone enjoyed. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together to applause and cheers from everyone, and then the celebrations began.

The Reception

They had drinks and nibbles, in the library which gave the afternoon a really chilled vibe. Such a nice relaxed setting, warm and welcoming with loads of comfy sofas and chairs. Everyone was chatting and laughing. Really relaxed and having a great time. Our favourite photo from the afternoon is the one we set up through the doors of the Music room.

For the meal they had proper wedding grub, and it was loved by all the guests. After the meal they had some wonderful, funny speeches.  Alastair & Rachael were happy to venture into the rain for a few photo’s,  and we headed out after dinner whilst evening guests were arriving.

Once dark, we took them to the Gazebo for a covered rain shot. See it doesn’t matter if it rains on your wedding day. Dresses can be cleaned, shoes wiped. Embrace it! because it means you get cool and quirky shots thats most others don’t have.

After the couple cut the wedding cake it was time to hit the dance floor. The Band started up & it was time for the first dance. A lovely touch was inviting parents onto the dance floor halfway through. Then after a Father/ Daughter dance, it was everyones turn. We love a full dance floor. The way it should be and we’d heard rumours through the day that everyone loved a good boogie & we weren’t disappointed. We joined in too!  There was even an early conga appearance, though not by us. Deffo the sign of a good night.

We know they had the best day and we absolutely loved being there to capture it. So here’s their Fun rainy day wedding at Cain Manor!
