Gate Street Barn wedding photography

Gate street Barn, is a gorgeous barn venue. Tucked away (literally) in Bramley, just outside Guildford. It’s perfectly situated in the Surrey hills & is a gem of a Surrey wedding venue. A quaint barn, which oozes charm & warmth.

When we met with Sarah & Simon for their pre-wedding shoot, Sarah was particularly fond of the resident cows Gate Street has, so we were hoping for a cameo appearance.

The morning was lovely, Gate street barn has fab on-site accommodation and the girls were getting ready in the Farmhouse. Jennifer from Lolo & Co was working her mad hair skills while Elisa was busy doing an amazing job as always, with the makeup.

It was such a chilled morning, like super chilled. Sarah was loving the pampering and the joy of all the space to get ready in. This place is huge!

Simon & the boys got ready in Yateley before heading over to put the finishing touches on the barn. The morning flew by and before we knew it, it was hitching time.

Sarah’s walk down the aisle was emotional.  I love capturing the happy tears & the pure joy you see in peoples faces. Sarah & Simon were giggling away through the ceremony. This made for some super cute photo’s, another reason I love doing what I do. Not many people could see these moments between them, but I could and because of that, I was able to preserve the moment.

The rest of the day went off without a hitch and the barn was transformed from the ceremony room to a lovely English garden picnic reception. The devil is in the details and as their speeches were before dinner, they knew their crowd, providing crisps dips for snacking. Sarah dad’s speech was something truly different. He waited till, after dinner & instead of making the speech, he booked a male acapella quartet to do it for him, it was honestly brilliant & totally unexpected. Everyone loved it, as you can see.

It was a really emotional day for all, however the strength & support from family & friends shone through. We ended the night with a sparkler exit, well exit for us, as we left them all drinking & dancing the night away.

Thanks to Sarah, Simon & their wonderful families for a lovely day & also thanks Gate street barn. We had a blast & can’t wait to be back soon.
